Stissebo is a family home consisting of four buildings, located outside of Västervik, Sweden. The architecture has been shaped by the nature of the site, a steep rocky coastal plot on the mainland of the lush archipelago. The project aims for environmental harmony whilst retaining a sense of grandeur. To be bold but not overstated. The buildings are lifted above the bare bedrock to spare the natural features, but also to make a striking gesture. The façades and columns mimic and blend in with the verticality of the surrounding forest.
